True to its motto, our school provides opportunities for  the students to serve the society by encouraging them to join voluntary units like the Guides, Junior Red Cross, NSS, Green Corps, Health Club and Red Ribbon Club. Headed by trained teachers, these children take the time out of their busy school schedule to serve their school and the society through small acts of kindness and service. The units members take turns to present short programmes during the school assembly every Friday.

The Junior Red Cross unit of our school functions with 60 students and three counselors to guide them. “Health, Service, Friendship” is the motto of the JRC unit. Classes are conducted for the JRC students every Friday and they are taught the history and  ideals of the Red Cross.

The unit members along with their teachers join in the campus cleaning once a month, visit old age homes or orphanages once a year to spread joy and happiness to the inmates.

The Guides’ motto is “BE PREPARED”. With a strength of nearly 100 students and three Guide teachers to help, the Guides unit takes part in a lot of the school’s activities along with he other units to help keep the campus clean and green. Classes are conducted every Friday for the guides.

The Health Club has 30 members led by two staff members. They conduct special awareness programmes for the students on health and hygiene. They also conduct competitions on a fairly regular basis to create awareness on the importance of maintaining good health and hygiene.

The NSS volunteers of our school-50 in number- are a service oriented group.  They conduct camps in the nearby villages during their term holidays and create awareness on hygiene, health etc., by staying in the village and taking out rallies and street plays.

The National Green Corps unit of our school helps in keeping our campus green. By creating awareness among the students on the importance of protecting the environment, they provide free saplings to the school and the surroundings every year. They also maintain a kitchen garden in the campus.

The members of the Red Ribbon Club provide health tips and create awareness on AIDS and other communicable diseases during the school assembly. They  also conduct drawing and speech competitions to ensure that the students stay alert and updated about the various endemic diseases that make their periodic rounds.

Groomed to be all rounders, our students are given ample opportunities to identify and showcase their skills and talents in sports and other cultural activities. Silambam, Karate and folk dance classes are conducted every week.
